West Midlands
Did you know…
that the North Staffs programme is an exciting and
innovative scheme that can culminate in a heavily subsidised
qualification up to masters degree level?
The West Midlands Deanery covers a vast geographical area
comprising the leafy shires of Shropshire and Herefordshire with
their picturesque market towns far away from the hustle and bustle
of the big cities, the Peak District, down through Burton and
Lichfield into Worcestershire and across through Ludlow, out beyond
Shrewsbury into the Welsh Borders and up to Oswestry, and eastwards
to Coventry and the historic Shakespeare’s County of Warwickshire.
The centre of the Deanery is Birmingham, a stylish international
city, home to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham
Royal Ballet, several theatres and vibrant nightlife. Walsall has a
world-class art gallery and Staffordshire is famous for its
potteries and breweries. One can visit Stratford to take in a
Shakespeare play next to the river Avon.
The area offers excellent facilities for walkers, culture
enthusiasts and gourmets boasting international cuisine and Michelin
starred restaurants. Being in the centre of the UK, transport links
all over the country are easy and quick, with London being a
fraction over an hour away on the regular high speed rail link. The
Heart of England is the real core of the country. It's the place
where you'll find what makes England tick - The place where you'll
discover the essence of everything good about England, and the best
of British GP Training in an area as as diverse as it is
fascinating.
