NORTHERN DEANERY

Did you know… that Whitehaven is in The Lake District and Tees Valley is one of the most beautiful places in England!

The Northern Deanery comprises of four vocational training schemes, Durham Tees Valley, East Cumbria, Northumbria and West Lakes. The deanery lies south of the border with Scotland and covers Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Teeside and Cumbria.

This is a wonderful part of the country and you will undoubtedly enjoy a quality lifestyle throughout your training with us. There are abundant opportunities for outdoor pursuits (e.g. climbing, fell walking, sailing, horse-riding etc.), particularly in the beautiful Lake District, Northumberland National Park, Weardale, Teesdale and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The cities and towns of the region provide a range of historical and modern cultural experiences as well as hosting renowned football, rugby and cricket clubs.
