most recent Deanery Report on Leighton Hospital, Crewe, describes
the GP Trainees as "the happiest group of Trainees" reflecting the
ability of a busy DGH to provide all the clinical experience and
hospital-based training required.
The Crewe GP Training Programme
includes high-quality training Practices in pleasant rural towns,
and the Course organizers provide an excellent educational programme
to support Trainees when they are placed in local practices.
The
Mersey Deanery stretches from Southport, through Liverpool and St.
Helens, across to the Wirral and to Warrington and Runcorn in North
Cheshire, down to Chester, Crewe and Macclesfield in South Cheshire.
Following Liverpool’s success as the 2008 European Capital of
culture, Liverpool is home to a variety of wonderful cultural
attractions. Liverpool's skyline is dominated by fabulous
architecture and has many stylish bars, clubs and restaurants, along
with 8 National museums and galleries. The sporting relationship
with Liverpool is immense, with Premiership football clubs, Aintree
and Haydock Park racecourses, and many Championship golf courses.
