The KSS Deanery covers a large area of Southeast England: from Dover
and Medway in the east, along the South Coast to near Portsmouth in the
west, up to the Surrey/ Hampshire borders and the Southern boundaries of
Greater London. Population 3.6m; 2,300 GP principals; 210 training
practices and 14 GP Specialty Training Programmes working from 19
geographical locations in a variety of urban, suburban, semi-rural and
rural settings. This area is close to London, with excellent motorway,
rail and airport facilities, and a number of ferry services and the
Channel Tunnel rail links ensure that the rest of Europe is also very
close. Outstanding communications combine with real quality of life with
the combination of easy access to the capital and exciting provincial
towns, which include Brighton, Chichester, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells and
Guildford, and beautiful rural and coastal settings, which give an
attractive wealth of choice to any applicant.
